Mr. Jin Huang have obtained the Ph.D degree in Wuhan University (China), and is working as full-professor in Southwest University (China) and serving as the director of Chongqing Key laboratory of Soft-Matter Material Chemistry and Function Manufacturing now. He also have carried out the scientific research at Institute of Chemistry (Chinese Academy of Sciences), Wuhan University of Technology (China), Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (France), EastChina Normal University (China), and so on. His research interests focus on sustaining chemistry and engineering based on high-value utilization of bio-resources, and chemical processing technologies towards materials including nanoparticles modification and macromolecular nano-assembly in large scale. So far, He have published over 180 peer-reviewed paper, and edited three monograph and wrote eight book chapters.

Area of Interests

  • Polymer-Centered Soft-Matter Materials Chemistry and Engineering: many kinds of polymer-based functional materials, such as friction, flame-retardancy, electric conduction,  flexible electronics, stimulus sensing, drug delivery, cell scaffold and tissue repairing, disease diagnosis and so on, using the strategies of multi-components compounding and macromolecular assembly base on structural design and interaction regulation at molecular-level.
  • Sustainable Materials Chemistry and Engineering: High-value Utilization of bio-resources, including (1) Natural Polymer Chemistry and Materials, i.e. Chemical modification and application of Natural Polymers, such as many kinds of natural polysaccharides, i.e. cellulose, chitin and chitosan, starch etc., and especially for high-performance nanocomposite and functional materials of cellulose nanocrystal based on controlled surface chemical modification, effective interfacial regulation with matrix, and multi-scale/multi-level/multi-components well-defined assembly; and (2) Environment-friendly Polymer Composites and Nanocomposites, such as many kinds of biodegradable bio-based polyester as matrix and the isolated/purified component or the untreated multi-components crude/by-products as filler derived from agriculture/forestry resources.
  • Advanced Materials Manufacturing and Engineering: 3D printing technologies and equipment without support for many kinds of materials and nanocomposites with elastic and soft properties, complex and hollow structure, negative Poisson's ratio structure, and so on; Chemical technologies and equipment towards chemical modification of nanoparticles and preparation of thermosetting nanocomposites in liquid media, and especially for enhanced dispersion technologies of nanoparticles in liquid media.
